Plant-Based Eating for the Planet :) & Good Health

ALWAYS “News you can use :)…
As Climate Week NYC 2023 comes to a close, I want to remind myself, and those who read my blogs and listen to my Wellness Connections Podcast, that the Climate Change challenges for our planet are ongoing problems, which we can decide to participate in a positive way using some of the suggestions provided on the www regularly. There are ways we can help our planet, and at the same time, introduce ways to improve our health.

Here’s an example

What if I mentioned that Suzy Amis Cameron, in her book The OMD Plan, claims: “swapping one dairy – or meat- based meal for a plant-based meal every day can save your health and the planet”. That’s quite a statement. However, it’s also a suggestion for doing your own research about ways to manage your health. There’s a lot of science supporting the idea for considering her One Day a Meal for the Planet Plan. You can review a pdf of her book and she has considerable information and guidelines for changing your eating habits. Seems to me it’s worth considering what she has to say. Imagine getting a “win-win for the Planet and your health.”

Medicine Galore

This brings me to a continuing conversation about Type 2 Diabetes, which is a condition that can show up in older adults who are not obese.

Everywhere I turn these days, I see an advertisement about Diabetes. The new topic and all the medications, women in pretty dresses letting you know how a particular pill can change your life and help you to lose weight. Look at the information below. Then you can decide, which life choices you may want to consider, if you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, or some other health issue.
