Hello everyone. Welcome to the “holiday season”. With that in mind, and because I am paying more attention to what I cook and increasingly, which utensils I use to do that for the safety of my family and the planet, I have decided to share some insights that may enhance your culinary experiences during this festive time. The holidays offer a wonderful opportunity to gather with loved ones and indulge in delicious meals, but it is also essential to consider the impact of our choices on health and sustainability. As we approach your holiday meal planning, I thought you might find the following article useful as it outlines some helpful insights, including some essential “dos” and a few critical “don’ts” that can make a significant difference in your preparation and enjoyment. Click the link below to learn more and make this holiday season not only enjoyable but also mindful and responsible.
It’s me with the “News You Can Use” 🙂 I often post this type of information on my HairBlues beauty blog, where I aim to empower my readers with tips and insights that enhance their beauty regimen. But this month, just in time for the summer sun, I thought I would share with my “elder beauties” how important it is to take extra care during the sun and fun months. The sun’s rays can be particularly harsh, and protecting our skin becomes essential as we enjoy those long, sunny days. Remember, it’s not just about looking good; it’s about maintaining our skin’s health and vitality. When you find a moment, take a look at the video below, where the CDC breaks down practical steps for nurturing your skin. Embrace the summer with confidence, knowing you are taking care of your most precious asset—your skin!
Hello Everyone, Before we come to the end of Earth Month, I wanted to share this information from my Podcast Judith Guerra Wellness Connections. This is News You Can Use all year round 🙂
ALWAYS “News you can use :)… As Climate Week NYC 2023 comes to a close, I want to remind myself, and those who read my blogs and listen to my Wellness Connections Podcast, that the Climate Change challenges for our planet are ongoing problems, which we can decide to participate in a positive way using some of the suggestions provided on the www regularly. There are ways we can help our planet, and at the same time, introduce ways to improve our health.
Here’s an example
What if I mentioned that Suzy Amis Cameron, in her book The OMD Plan, claims: “swapping one dairy – or meat- based meal for a plant-based meal every day can save your health and the planet”. That’s quite a statement. However, it’s also a suggestion for doing your own research about ways to manage your health. There’s a lot of science supporting the idea for considering her One Day a Meal for the Planet Plan. You can review a pdf of her book and she has considerable information and guidelines for changing your eating habits. Seems to me it’s worth considering what she has to say. Imagine getting a “win-win for the Planet and your health.”
