Newsletters Worth Sharing

In 2026, aside from sharing climate advocate information, I will also be focusing on the available resources to help you with your wellness regimen, as our health is intricately connected to the health of our planet. By providing tips, strategies, and innovative ideas, my aim is to empower you with the knowledge and tools necessary to enhance your well-being. We can all use a little help to participate in our own well-being along with our planet’s survival – not only for ourselves – but for our younger generations, ensuring that they inherit a healthier environment and a more sustainable future. Together, we have the ability to cultivate practices that promote not just personal health but also contribute positively to the ecosystem that supports us all. Ultimately, it’s about establishing a harmonious balance between our needs and those of the Earth, leading to a thriving community for years to come.

Here’s a newsletter created by Dr. Andrew Weil – whom you may know from his many years of involvement and experience with Integrative Medicine. This newsletter offers valuable insights into holistic health approaches, including the importance of nutrition, mindfulness, and natural therapies. Chronic Pain and Revisiting Acupuncture

A few years ago, I was introduced to acupuncture via an article from a White Plains Hospital – Health Matters magazine. Having serious issues with arthritic pain in my hands made me consider this as an option for treatment. I mean, after all, how could I continue to bring you this news you can use every month – if my hands were not able to type? πŸ™‚ More recently, I discovered an article on the WebMD blog – a source I often use for research. So once again, I am sharing this health information for your use and discretion as to whether it will work for you.

This is “News You Can Use” — and is provided to be an information resource of ideas that assist you to complement your “wellness” and “well-being” regimens to reduce stress, guide you in sustainability choices, and healthful living and is not a replacement to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition or disease. As always, I suggest you seek out the help of a trained professional for help with your specific situation.

Plant-Based Eating for the Planet :) & Good Health

ALWAYS “News you can use :)…
As Climate Week NYC 2023 comes to a close, I want to remind myself, and those who read my blogs and listen to my Wellness Connections Podcast, that the Climate Change challenges for our planet are ongoing problems, which we can decide to participate in a positive way using some of the suggestions provided on the www regularly. There are ways we can help our planet, and at the same time, introduce ways to improve our health.

Here’s an example

What if I mentioned that Suzy Amis Cameron, in her book The OMD Plan, claims: “swapping one dairy – or meat- based meal for a plant-based meal every day can save your health and the planet”. That’s quite a statement. However, it’s also a suggestion for doing your own research about ways to manage your health. There’s a lot of science supporting the idea for considering her One Day a Meal for the Planet Plan. You can review a pdf of her book and she has considerable information and guidelines for changing your eating habits. Seems to me it’s worth considering what she has to say. Imagine getting a “win-win for the Planet and your health.”

Here’s a pdf link to a glimpse of her book.
